It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

He has done fine since his arrival and was always in great shape too. What he is is a £100m signing that the opposition fans and media are desperate to fail, so any deviation from outstanding is seen as a criticism. One could equally argue that a team is functioning best when no individual stands out.
You talk way too much sense.

Cucarella could be the best thing to happen in terms of Grealish form because I always feel as though he and Cancelo operate in the same positions and prefer to cut infield. Cucarella can go round the outside and provide genuine width.
I agree that Cucurella's signing could see Grealish - and others across the front line - profit, particularly given that his style of play offers the nearest thing to (coincidentally, given your BM moniker) Pablo Zabaleta in my opinion with late overlapping runs down the flanks coupled with solid defensive qualities.

I’m wondering where we’ll see Foden next year. If we buy Cucurella it will be better to have a right-footed player on the left wing and since we see Mahrez/Palmer as the right wingers he won’t play there.

Is it time to move him to midfield and buy right footed winger?

Isn't that Grealish?

I cannot understand how a front line that includes Haaland, Alvarez, Foden, Grealish, Mahrez and Palmer is considered vulnerable in any way. That is without the prospect of KDB and/or Bernardo supplementing it because of the addition of Phillips, who could play in central midfield with Rodri and Gundo, and without the potential of James McAtee and/or Carlos Borges. Raz and Gabby wanted to leave and we have brought in three players, with a potential fourth incoming; I fail to see where the problem lies.
I agree with everything you’ve said. There is just a slight query re form and experience with that front six though. Haaland and Alvarez, no premier league experience. Palmer, no experience to mention and we sometimes forget how young Phil is. That leaves Mahrez, who we can be confident will put in a certain level of performance, and Grealish, who I’m sure will step up but needs to. It’s a proper rebuild window for that forward line but it needed doing at some point and it’ll be interesting. Can’t wait.
