This would have been ideal to throw Taylor Harwood Beliss into the 1st team. Have him as 4th centre back and blood him in cup games and the odd league game.
I can see Jarrad Braithwaite from Everton- 6ft5, 20yrs old, prem experience but just broke through so won't expect loads of games, left footed. Also someone on here said that they'd been out with his grandad playing golf in Carlisle (where hes from) and City had enquired re: him.

Having said that seems to have injury problem and lost form
Denayer is also a free agent and so is Florian Gillitsch both can play midfield so might fit a pep system
