It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

PSG were certainly touting him around, but not heard we are interested.

I was told a couple months back we had a melt the internet signing in the works but assumed the info was late coming to me and it just concerned Pogba or Felix (Felix was denied by City)

Neymar does not fit our standard MO on most levels, so unless the guy has literally picked up the phone and begged Pep, offered to take a huge salary cut, it would surely be a non-starter.

I also think the Brazilian press (some of the best there are) would have wind of any such deal right now.

Cucurella, a new centre-back and maybe one out of the blue, and we are done.

Sometimes information is leaked and reaches people over different time periods, without said info not being incorrect at the time.

I think Zin and Ake will be the last of the outgoings, Delap out on loan, with Palmer and McAtee getting more opportunities from the bench.
I’m happy with just cucurella! Easily pleased me

Echo Headline - why man city signing Jude Bellingham could be great news for Liverpool.

I mean I honestly don't get how there's any correlation between Brazil and Jude Bellingham. I keep seeing posters tying themselves in knots to make that make sense and it reminds me of a lfc fanzine headline
I have enjoyed the mental gymnastics that people have undertaken to link them together.

It’s like they know Bellingham is a cryptic crossword answer and they trying to come up with the clue.

We have as good as Zero LBs now. No way Voldemort is seeing the inside of a city shirt again
Cancelo is a better lb than rb. With cucurella coming in and Walker on the other side we will be just fine due to the divesity of Cancelo. Add the youth of Kabore, and at a push Ake who can be utilised at full back also, I dont see any problems.

Looks more of a Sam’s chop house type to me.

Thankfully the Ake headache is solved

All players simulate (we've just had Sterling for 7 years!) - let's face it - it's just that Neymar gets booted a hell of a lot more than other players do. I agree in the sense of the 10 rolls after being fouled is dramatic but I don't blame the guy for going over before being kicked rather than waiting for contact.

He's been nailed countless times and for about 15 years since his days in Brazil, it'll take a toll on anybody's body and at some point you have to expect the contact and move rather than accept it.

We see it with Grealish, he's brilliant at winning free kicks (GazBaz was the king, though) with little contact because he gets out the way. But like with Neymar, they take risks on the ball and draw fouls. It's exciting to watch somebody like that.

I can't remember who said it but they said being fouled all the time is a compliment to how they play the game. They're seen as a danger and need to be targeted and they're seen as that because they're brilliant players.
but 99% of the time Neymar isn't fouled, he just flings himself to the ground and rolls around without the slightest contact, when he was hurt with his back no one cared as he had cried wolf so many times before even in the same game

some players excel at wining free kicks, Didi H was the best I've seen at it, used a brush and dropped slowly to the floor

some players are just soft

Jesus used to annoy the hell out of me when he dropped for no reason and then sat on his arse moaning
