I don’t mind him he does a job. I’m sure when I first started on bluemoon he was over hyped and some posters everyone hung on his every word. Now it’s the complete opposite, maybe they took it personally when they found out he wasn’t the messiah and got some stuff wrong. Truth is probably somewhere in between and is pretty boring really.

I like Sam Lee and the stories he's done on players in the Athletic.

There, I said it.

He is pretty much the only high profile dedicated Man City journalist who gets to write regular in-depth pieces, so really we should all be fans.

The MEN puts out a lot of content, but has to publish over the top, hugely partisan, click-bait pieces constantly, so they tend not to be particularly interesting or have much depth.

No-one else really has the access, or platform to put out just as many words on City as Sam Lee, so anyone who has a dislike for him, usually because of some comment on twitter, is missing out.
