It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

Sterling has had moments of not being used and reported tension with Pep. This isn’t anything extraordinary. One’s personal life can come into play
Jesus’ current contract can definitely be improved on. I am not seeing any abuse towards Sterling here, only discussions about players entering the final year of their contracts. At least on this thread
Sorry but I have never seen anything related to Sterling and Pep having any sort of tension between them.

I think when he starts talking about Sterling’s “moments out of the team” compared to Jesus not starting a league match between NYD and mid April we know he’s not arguing in good faith.

Can’t look past the nationality it seems.

Jesus I think would love to stay and build on his success (only stifled by a injury - which everyone seems to forget).

Again, this is complete delusion. 2 good games against Norwich and Watford isn't success.

Jesus was not injured at all between New Years Day and the Liverpool match in mid-April, a spell of 4 1/2 months where he did not start a single league game.

I have loved and stood up for Jesus for 5 years now and wish he was staying but Peps selection choices don’t lie, he’s the clubs 3rd choice RW at best, and his replacement has already been signed.

Even if Sterling were to leave this summer, Jesus would likely spend 95% of next season behind Mahrez, Alvarez, Palmer if the reports about how high Pep rates him are true and maybe even Bernardo if we sign 2 new midfielders.

When this summer is over, only the cockroaches will walk the Earth.

Haaland just the beginning.

Another £100m to come.

Yep Jesus be leaving this summer and Sterling will stay for his final year then leave for nowt unless he changes his mind because the deal we would of offered him would be decent.

What a fucking stupid comment. Who do you think would win a poll in this forum between Sterling and Jesus on who people would rather see stay? Must all be Brazilians
Also, in the random period you chose, there was an international break, he started one UCL match, two FA Cup matches, came in early in second half in a few, and there was also the Palace game which Pep made no subs in (neither him nor Sterling were used…). I don’t see what’s so extraordinary, players have moments of up and down. Jesus started the two UCL semifinal games ffs
