We have signed the hottest centre forward in the game; the South American footballer of the year and the England footballer of the year - there is no way that we are a complacent or arrogant club who believe that success is inevitable. Questioning is fine but, for many, some of it is ridiculous and needy.The defensive sarcasm about how we are abject failures who have won nothing recently really is tedious. Those of us with the temerity to be questioning are somehow, spoilt, lesser fans. Twas ever thus.

England player of the year was a popularity contest which I didn't realise. Kalvin won it as Leeds fans basically hijacked the voting. Saw it on a Leeds fan channel he wished Kalvin well but said the player of year was voted by fans. There was apparently a massive push from their end to vote Kalvin as Englands player of year
