Yes we need a new LB but did the club forsee Cancelo having a shit fit mid season and wanting out.

Agreed but we have to have the right balance of homegrown/english players in order to fully utilise the 25 man squad.

We're currently using Carson for this exact reason. Sterling left and walker may well leave.

Bellingham and Maddison fit the bill on that front.
