It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

Speaking from experience?

I think the number of people who follow the PL are more than those who followed the French & German League combined.

TV money, sponsorships...etc I think are bigger in PL.

In addition to that, winning the PL is an achievement while in Germany & French there is no competition apart from maybe twice every 10 years.

Yep, we actually sold our house four years ago and downsized, so we could bank some cash towards my son and daughter's education.

All our 'middle class' friends thought we were crazy, managing to get by in a three bedroom house with only one bathroom and maybe one holiday a year.

Difference being, while their kids were coasting, my two have got to see what real life is like for most 'ordinary' people, and also have a bit of their dad's Moss Side fight in them.

I went to bloody Claremont Road, if my two go to Uni with a bit of cash in their accounts, me and the wife will have done something right.
That’s ace

All pointing towards fact that he doesn't fancy rags but might well end tup there ans end up saying he dreamt of United and continue with Erik 10 Pegs

They never learn do they, looks like they are going balls deep for a player who doesn't want to join them.

It never ends well and just backs up that while they may want to change they are actually unable to.

Claremont Road. You posh b@stard. Us in Longsight used to dream of attending such a hallowed institution.

Yes I do. He has played as many games as John Stones, should we get rid of him too?
It's the players decision, not "getting rid of him"
Less than half of games is not enough for him clearly. And tbh, it's extremely limited

Reminds me of Peter Reid and his obsessive, doomed, Captain Ahab-style pursuit of Arthur Numan back in the day. Didn’t he get the Dutch players union involved so he didn’t have to sign for us? Madness that he and Swales wasted so much time and effort trying to sign someone who had no interest in joining us
