I think he's probably confused because Pep saying months ago that he wants to extend and meeting with the owner now and telling him he wants to extend aren't mutually exclusive.

yeah grealish could've left for free, but singed a contract 1 year before leaving and made a 100M clause. He gave much more to villa than sterling gave us, and jack had no reason to do that, but still he did it

Big extension? guessing 5 to 6 years

Can't see any extension being more than 3 years (max), considering he's only done 1 year extensions the past few years. Relative to those extensions I'd expect a 3 year deal to be seen as a big one, as opposed to a 5 year one (although I hope it's 5!)

If there is a “big extension” i.e. more than 2 years, I’d expect it contains break clauses. In reality no further committed than signing two years at a time however it will put to bed any media/fan talk every other summer.

Talks of 6 years with break clauses every 2 years, which as u suggest is basically a 2yr deal with an option to extend
