Bertie Magoo the Bitter Blue. A cartoon character created by a Manchester Un*ted fanzine portraying the stereotypical City fans through the eyes of a red. Supposedly, that stereotype is moody, bitter and Mancunian.

Bertie is a middle-aged man and said to speak with a strong Mancunian accent. He is depicted with a blue nose that says ‘loser’ on it and wearing a t-shirt inscribed with the words ‘Bell better than Best’.

It is interesting that Un*ted fans wish to ridicule the Mancunian accent and, aside from the ‘loser’ label, Bertie seems like an alright bloke.

Every City fan I know is anything but bitter and could not stand to be anything like Un*ted. Let’s allow them their fun on this occasion as they haven’t got a lot else to shout about.

Might all be agreed but there could be 101 things that hold it up until July - loyalty payments, pension contributions etc… maybe player and agent need to sit tight - just cos it’s not being actioned doesn’t mean it’s not all agreed in principle.

All possible and logical mate. There are a few rumors of Brighton talking to a couple of left backs currently so I assume things are ready to move if/when they have something lined up.
