It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

Grr sodding phone, finally managed to read you post properly, didn't see the assists bit

Doesn't show kev was unfit and injured for start and during the season

You like him, fine your choice

He doesn't do enough, he is ineffective in most games he starts
Too greedy
Offside too much
We can do better
Doesn’t show how little he started at the start of the season but then got picked for every big game. If it was him or Sterling leaving I’d prefer it to be Sterling, that’s all.

People can throw out the one year left on his contract all they like, £50m or less even for Jesus is poor.

We have no need to sell him, he's in demand, and Arsenal are desperate for a striker. We should be holding them to ransom.

Some of you are living in a fantasy.

This is going to be something like the 3rd or 4th highest fee for a player with only 12 months left on his contract in history.

And he's our 3rd choice strike and 4th choice winger, who went 4 months without starting a league game and has only managed 17 goals in the last 2 league seasons in 60 apps. He's got massive confidence issues and told the manager he didn't want to be a striker in September and that he changed his mind and didn't want to be a winger in April.

It's a very good fee, it's a good move for both clubs and the player.

The whole 'Arsenal want Jesus, Jesus wants Arsenal, Arsenal are confident they can agree a deal' narrative is nothing new, it has been going on since March. Just because it has been repeated yet again doesn't mean it is any closer than it was 2 months ago.

If it was as done as suggested, he'd have undegone his medical by now given how long the contact between them has been reported.

The fact it isn't well under way suggests that either Jesus is looking at his options elsewhere (good for him), he still hasn't ruled out staying (good for us).

Even if we were in a rush to sell, up to him to agree to move, and then up to the buying club to meet our valuation. The rest is just repeat speculation to fill the time.

Yes it's speculation but then so is what you posted, It could be agreed and announced later this afternoon for all we know.

40m would be a fair fee imo...he'd be an 80m player with a few years on his deal.

They will increase their offer though as when he's a free agent he will have more options and they cannot gaurantee champions league next season.

Thought it was only the rags who bought 80m players for 40m

I think the only reason it isn't done is because Arsenal are trying to lowball us with a derisory offer

posted this in the Cucurella thread by mistake. But it’s interesting Romano gives them the done deal sign a day or two before he announces it

Look out for the Twitter account Transfers I think it is. Just watched a podcast the leader of the account is the one that makes the graphics for Romano. Romano apparently tells them to make a graphic when the deal is done. Before he even tweets done deal so if that account makes a graphic of Kalvin or Cucurella then it’s done
I thought it was well established that Romano knows very little especially when it comes to City. He’s rarely the first to announce anything but is good at being a quick second.

The wording is silly. He can’t know what City are about to do and of course City think a deal can be done or they wouldn’t try?

The graphic is good though!

Nothing in there is untrue.

The part about 'confidence issues' is. What he had or hasnt asked Pep is at the very least highly embellished. The suggestion that 30m is a fair fee is, otherwise it would have happened already.
