We get straight in at end of season and I’d guess we could get him for circa £30/40mil which would represent a good return for Brighton a year after buying him for £15mil.

Barcelona product and technically good, though perhaps still a little slight and short. However, if we weren’t interested last year when we could have presumably had him at that price, would we really be interested now purely on the back of this year’s performance? I’m not saying we shouldn’t be, just trying to fathom out whether we have an interest in him or indeed even a plan for that position.

people forget this because people see week in week out the chances he completely scuffs in games which, as a professional footballer, at the highest level, he should be putting them away

Even for those that don't want him here next season, surely deserves a lot more respect.

At least one of our titles we wouldn't have won without him.
 
May need to assess our CB’s physical situation. We had five usable (or so Pep thought) when Garcia was around.
 
Apart from Bayern Munich, no teams in Europe ( Enland, Spain, Italy or France ) scored more goals in the league than City.

Its in this order :

Bayern 95 Goals
City 89
Liverpool 87
Dortmund 83
Paris 79
Inter 78
Madrid 73


It will be interesting to see the effect of hopefully Haaland next season.
 
Kalvin Phillips apparently has a 25m release clause if Leeds get relegated according to Daily Fail. As I mentioned on this forum a few times before, I think he would be a great Fernandinho replacement, especially at that bargain price. Knows the role, good age, England international, homegrown, probably wouldnt expect to start most games and with this release clause there is only a small risk Txixi wont be able to get an offer accepted. Ticks a lot of boxes for me, but unfortunately it doesnt seem like we are interested.

Nowhere near good enough thats why we arent interested.

I don't think there is a club in England, barring Liverpool or Chelsea he would even entertain next year, but his current wages would still be a stretch for them.

It's the type of signing Barca, Madrid, Juve or PSG will only contemplate on a free.
