It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

Son, Saka and Reece James are the 3 from our league that could realistically happen, and would piss off a fair few
Cant see in a million years chelsea selling RJ. New owner comes in for 4 billion quid and first thing he does is sell one of their best young players to the best side in the league. Not happening.

If he’s anything like the Liverpool owners he might justify selling him as it could fund their transfers for the next 10 years like Coutinho has

That’ll depend on what he’s like as an owner.

Is he in it for trophies or money?

Might just be that he wants to leave and is waiting to go so motivation may be lacking!

Anyway, not our problem.
Unless we’re in for him, agreed.

He played as a 6 against PSV and didn’t cover himself in glory, so he may not be the hybrid 6/8 that we need.

No idea, just that Tielemann's is deep in talks with Arsenal on a free.
Not free until next summer unless hes given away with a year left.
Signed for leicester for £40m and im convinced theres a player in there.
Had some injuried this year and whole squad has flattered to decieve without vardy

I just don't get it. He'd be a good fit, but it'd be such a messy, public, fight to get him out of there and would also cost a fortune.

There are so many good right backs across the top leagues that we can surely find a cheaper option for less agro and cash.
He’s homegrown which is positive, he’s very good at football, and taking a player from a top team in the country who’s been with them since he was a kid is a big statement

If he is the one TH has been hearing whispers about then surely there has been some positive indications that a deal could be struck.

Might be so, also remember how much walker has angered Pep this year on the pitch and I’m guessing some headlines over the last few years having not gone down well with the ownership either - James could be a resolution to these challenges maybe.

They're Americans mate. They're ultimately in it for the money & would see James as a potential £60m return on their £4bn investment.
