Haven’t seen too much of him but reminds me a bit of Zabaleta. Tenacious, industrious, gets his foot in, progressive. But with the addition of a La Masia upbringing. Has a good cross on him which is going to be crucial on the left with Haaland.

Zero chance of getting him for £30m though with 4 years left on his contract. Zero.

Interesting signing if true, I always imagined we needed a RB rather than a LB. FWIW I really like Zinchenko but I get the impression Pep doesn’t fancy him anymore. If we do sign Cucurella you’d imagine Zinchenko’s time at City is up (would we get a similar fee?). Would be a massive shame imo.

I wonder if we would experiment with the 3-5-2 again (Cucurella and Cancelo as wingbacks). When we signed Mendy I remember Pep saying he gives us the option of a 3-5-2 which would allow us to play Aguero and Jesus up top together. Perhaps we’ll see something similar with Haaland and Alvarez up top on occasions.

I'd have guessed something like that with KDB or Foden pushed right off Haaland in a 352 or both in a 343.

Problem is that he doesn't see himself as just a squad player.

And with Stones constantly injured I can see him starting most games next season.
 
Cucurella is a natural left back/wingback, he can also fill in as a centre back, great move by us if true.
 
Knowing the way Brighton operate and how long he has on his contract I can’t see 30 mil being enough to get the deal done. Will cost more than white did to arsenal
 
For goodness sake’s we get linked with Cucurella he turns out to be a racist, we thinks there might be a chance we getting porro back, a day later we get linked with felix and that he might be our next big signing the same dude whose gf cheated on him a week ago with porro, tell me that we aren’t cursed when it comes to our full-backs something always goes wrong when it comes to these two positions.

He didn't but Wolves have been there before and now West Ham. If they boy wants to start games he's gotta go somewhere else. Thing with Cucurella is that he would actually, in terms of quality, push Cancelo, like Danilo did to Walker. Having Kabore as a backup to Kyle, along with Cancelo, would be an ideal setup next season.

Well yeah it depends on if Zinchenko wants more gametime or not, and with these fullback-rumors flairing up it could mean he's looking to depart for his own sake.
