All three players mention too were better than Kalvin Phillips. Rodwell marked David Silva out of the game and until Moyes took him off in the season we first won the league. The other two had won a few trophies and caps along the way before they had joined, during their stay here at City and afterwardsman it wasn't even that long ago where the likes of fernando, javi garcia and jack rodwell were our CDM's. i'll gladly take kalvin phillips to be a rotation option on the cheap, settle down.
some of you here want a bombastic 70m+ signing for every signing. that's not a serious way to run a football club. we've already replaced fernandinho years ago, his name is Rodri.

He also wasn’t signed to be a Pep player.Fernadinho had bags of Champions League experience and had won a couple of league titles and a youth team winners medal with Brazil

Not really with either point. The only couple of positives it is a cheap squad option that will serve the Brexit ruling. There are better options that would improve us. just watched some phillips highlights as only the smartest scouts do. He has exactly what this team has none of. Raw strength and bruiser ability.

The Brighton fullback looks decent but Kalvin Phillips simply isnt good enough....huge step down and considering we were talking about FDJ last week its a massive step down.
Phillips is just a bang average player at the very most.
Need to look elsewhere.

We can not possibly have an underwhelming window when we’ve landed haaland. But if we spend much of the rest of our budget to sign cucarella and phillips it will be a big wtf from me.

It’s also a step down to what Liverpool would potentially be getting with Tchouameni. Funny thing, they can have Fabinho and add Tchouameni.
