Because firstly you are talking about signing a left back, which frees up Cancelo. cancelo has been first choice left back because we don’t actually have one, hence why he’s not always played at RB. Plus

Secondly, Walker will be another year older and whilst his pace is a real asset that’s going to start dropping and cancelo has soooo much more to his game.

I like Cancelo and think he is extremely talented on the ball but he can make rather poor decisions in the wrong areas and isn't at all great defensively. I'd always pick Walker ahead of him at RB.
