It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

If Sterling runs down his contract I expect his World Cup chances will diminish, Pep will use him as a bit player as he will build he squad without him.

Yeah I can’t see pep playing him much at all if he refuses a new contract as the club will know his intentions and pep doesn’t seem to like playing players who aren’t seemingly committed

Arsenal have wasted money on some right shite in recent years… next to Ozil and Pepe, Jesus is an absolute bargain.
Whilst true, we could point to Mangala and Gundogan/Bernardo as examples of overspending on dross and underspending on quality.

Seen who contracts has run out at Burnley Kompany goes there he be in for a shock whose left and how much money if any he would get of the owners.

You mean like he didn’t play Garcia in the last year of his contract? You’re mad if you think Pep won’t play a contracted player

am ok only with Jesus leaving of those 3 coz he wants to play always and playing time will reduce with haaland / Alvarez

Our injury record with our CBs and long season would mean he would be involved a fair bit + Zini has always been reliable.
Ake has had more injuries than Stones and Laporte combined, sadly a sick note since he arrived and maybe the reason the club reportedly says he can leave?

yea , that's true - but he has really looked settled here now in his 2nd season - so a shame if he leaves now

So According to Simon Mullock City are willing to sell ( Jesus, Sterling, Mahrez, Gundogan & Ake )
i feel like people misinterpret "willing to sell" for "wanting to sell"

We probably dont want to sell gundogan but if aomeone wants to pay us £40mil for a 31 year old with a year left on his contract then he'll probably be sold

But if teams will only offer £15mil which we'd likely reject he won't be sold

Don't see Sterling and Mahrez leaving, mostly because their valuations won't be met likewise I see Gundogan staying

Jesus, Ake and Zinchenko would be my pick of who genuinely are going to leave and we could probably net close to £120mil or more for all 3
