It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

We're starting to say that Haaland will cover what we're losing in Jesus and Sterling rather than adding to what we had.
I am sorry, I might have forgotten, didn't we win the league with 93 points and 99 goals or something?

Also conveniently forgetting about Alvarez.

Bernardo is not the engine of our midfielder.
It’s just myth. He is the reason we have so many problems defensively when he plays along KDB and Rodri.
The last 6 games we won 5 and draw one. Bernardo played as MF on two of them.
West Ham 2:2
Villa played until 68th minute. He was subbed then and history happened. He is winger or support for the winger. Or attacking MF. It is lovely to see him running behind Ryad on the left also. If KDB‘s on the pitch we need proper MFs in order to be stronger defensively.
It is nice to see him running with ball but our game is easier to build with Gundo on the pitch and his passing.

this is unbelievable rubbish. we've played with KDB, rodri and bernardo all season long in midfield and had, by all accounts, a fantastic defensive season.

Pep is putting his cock on the block that Alvarez and Palmer will step up and deliver this season. I think not replacing Sterling properly will bite us on the arse.
We still have Mahrez and Grealish will have a bigger role to play too, but let's wait and see. If things don't look good, we can always address the situation in January.

Cucurella to CITY

Hot and bothered. Hot because 37 degree is ridiculous for Manchester. Why do foreign players yearn for this? Can’t wait for a storm or a bit of drizzle.
Bothered because Zin is almost certainly gone with a report of him saying his farewells to the players and staff today and then off to Orlando to join a Mickey Mouse Club ironically. His price is rumoured to be £30 Million plus a few add ons. This now leaves City with zero orthodox left backs so talk turns to Cucurella.

Supersilva21 made a rare appearance with some ITK news that City had finally put a bid in of £37 million and a further £12 million in achievable add ons for Cucurella.

So today has been all about our historical Achilles heal the Left Back position with some posters wanting one and others two. If City‘s squad does or does not have enough depth to cope in a World Cup year is also a hot topic hotly discussed on a hot day.

Neymar coming or not is still being talked about and the poll is very close. However reports are coming out that PSG did offer him to us with Bernardo going the other way. City apparently chose to not think too much about that one. The deal seems dead but 93.20blue does appear to have broken the news on here that we were after him in the first place.

I’ll post one of these most evenings around this time on this thread

You are welcome.

Please note this isn’t a summary of what is in the news, what I reckon or what will definitely happen. It’s only a summary of what is currently being discussed on the transfer forum.

Grealish, Foden,Riyad, Alvarez, Palmer, Mcatee, Bernardo or Cancelo

Any of the 8 above can fill the two wide forwards we need.

pol ballus and sam lee reported on the why always us podcast that city would have targeted Kounde if Ake left. Sam also said he's got a text saying they think they'll get cucurella.

SSN have just announced that a deal at £32m has been agreed between City & Arsenal for Zinchenko.

A bit of chatter about Pau Torres online.

Ake is staying, unless Chelsea got desperate and raised their bid
Makes no sense. Why would we get a 5th CB after keeping Aké. Keep him away, probably goes Chelsea or ends up staying
