Because that certain waster was a better player at the time we signed him and had accomplished a lot more than Cucurella.
I’d be more worried if City continued to blindly throw out £50 million on full backs after the Mendy transfer. Let’s face it, he was a dreadful signing prior to his arrest.
Any transfer has an element of risk to it, but I cannot blame City for wanting to pay less than £50 million for a guy with one good season behind him for a mid-table PL club and has never kicked a ball in the CL or a major comp for his country.

Of course it could matter, £5m or so could be the difference in this deal. They could reject the £40m and accept £40m plus £5m add ons...What does it matter?
