Rice & Rodri won't workDo you reckon we try a swap deal in the summer Phillips for Rice since West ham like him?

Anyone who has watched City knows we don’t replace like for like, we change and evolve
We didn’t replace Yaya, David, Leroy or Sergio with clones or lesser versions
this my feeling as well. we are downgrading ourself. My point is we are a world class club, we should be targeting established and flourishing talent. Players like Maddison, Phillips, Gomez and to some extent even Grealish aren't that. They are average to sub average in that case of Gomez.
Ripped apart lol he's just kept Bukayo Saka quiet for 90 minutes. As gutted as I am we've no proper LB, the meltdown on here when Ake gets injured or ripped apart by say that Kulusevski on Sunday will be a sight to behold.

Think City also have a sell-on for Harrison.
Same fans who don't like JackI get it, you don't like him.
Pep does, and he's not doing a bad job of this managing lark.
There are very few people like Kev, so we need to temper our expectations on a like-for-like.
its a dreadful saying, the people that use it are usually twitter twats,So any player that shows decent enough skills and promise when younger is now called a 'generational player?'
It's disingenuous to compare him to KDB, he's not that type of player. He's more like a Kroos/Yaya hybrid. Can stay deep and dictate play but also play that box-to-box role very well; as attested by his England performances.
Lmao this nonsense again. Foden is keeping Foden out. Foden is unfit and out of form.Grealish doesn't start over Fit Foden.Doing okay recently in fact he's keeping our very own superstar Foden out of the team.
I just cannot watch it. Transfers will happen whether those Buffon’s sit around a table or not.I don`t know what anyone else thinks but SSN coverage is getting worse by the day.
Currently having their say Leanne Sanderson and Jamie O`Hara, and it looks like it`s being filmed in Stretford Arndale.
Kinnell this Sanderson needs to slow down when she speaks she`s giving me a headache. And as for O`Hara he`s one thick specimen.
And then they have the "The Transfer Show" where 4 spotty brats just out of short pants sit round a table who know absolute fuck all about what`s going on.

see the many above replies. all what you say is good if he is bought to play about 10 games and used as a sub. else we need to look player better than maddison for our first 11. if we think he is our level then I am afraid we will be competing for top 6 soon rather than winning the title every year.Even more so, with Pep lighting a fire under him?
He's had Rodgers and still managed to shine.
Coming in to his prime years, relatively low price, homegrown, Premier League tested and a brilliant eye for a pass.
No brainer for the club, and reminds me a bit of Bruno Fernandes, minus the rat features.
Only issue for me would be his recent injuries.
I don't mind the phrase in itself but it's applied horrendously. Every decent teenager or club's greatest player is deemed "generational".its a dreadful saying, the people that use it are usually twitter twats,
We’d need free kicks first :-)This logic is baffling.
James Ward-Prowse is the best free-kick taker in the world and Maddison's record is just 2% below.
Maddison is miles better outside of set pieces. But his free-kick taking is elite, far better than KDB, Mahrez or Gündogan.
I never said free-kick taking makes you world class. But his free-kick taking is world class.
Yep and his ability to evolve and adapt is part of what makes him the best in the businessYou've hit the nail on the head there!
People, fans get stuck in time when things were perfect.
We have a huge fanbase that is still stuck on nostalgia.
Some stuck in the Colin Bell, Mike Summersby era.
Some stuck in the Alan Ball, Frank Clark era.
Some stuck in the Bobby Manc era.
Some stuck in the peak Aguero Pellegrini era.
Some stuck in the Sane, Sterling era.
Some stuck in the post Aguero - false 9 Cancelo era.
And lots will be stuck in the Haaland era!
But Pep knows any system he comes up with has a shelf date before defenses adjust and the system has been found out and doesn't work anymore inspite of it winning titles.
So we morph into the next system that works with players that are skilled and those that have the personality to gel and not kick up a fuss if sitting out!

That is very very trueWe’d need free kicks first :-)
