i read somewhere that gvardiol won’t take that space because he was still 20 on january 1st this year.

He was, but that would count for domestic matches, not CL.
And normally we used to set up our squad for UEFA rules.

Yes give then a chance but don't thrust them straight into a major role in the team, even Foden wasn't put straight in as a replacement, it was over time, same with Lewis he's not been thrown in as a replacement he's had a couple of appearances. Mahrez has come up with crucial performances over the years for us in the Champions league and Premier league, you don't just throw an academy kid into that role as a replacement.

we dont have the squad space under the rules. we have 1 space and that is likey going to be gvardiol so then its a 1 in 1 out policy. so laporte and mahrez going gives us 2 spaces and so on
