Is one really needed though in football?Like it. Stonesy/ Rodders or Dias pls
We should have 11 of them in reality on the pitch.

I think he is hinting at outgoings in the form of Walker/Laporte/Cancelo. Walker would be one of the captains for sure, hence the wording. It is interesting but I highly doubt anyone new coming in will be made captain right away. So they don’t need to wait until returning to decide the captain.
CorrectLeaders don’t need an armband. Ruben will lead regardless of who is captain.
Who's to say Rice didn't want to come here. We put a bid in, it got rejected & then we dropped out of the race, probably didn't want to repeat last summer with Kane.Just seems were not making the most of the opportunity to further dominate, really thought we would get 1 or Rice or Bellingham and further more that they would want to come here.
Anyway let's see what happens.
Interesting comment.
My preference is Ruben but I just think it might be kev. He was vice last season and I do agree sometimes kev can be emotional. As I say my choice would be Dias
They'll all be told by then.Like it. Stonesy/ Rodders or Dias pls
He seems to increasingly understand his role as a main player, and a leader. He would be a great choice, and so would Ruben. My choice would be Rodri. The 1st name on the team sheet and leads by example and it wouldn’t stop the rest of the team from giving motivation.
I can see Ruben being the captain doing the rousing speeches before kick off & half time, where as Kev will be the one on the pitch, dictating the attack nearest the ref to complain when, the wanker with the whistle, conveniently doesn't see penalty or red card offences.I agree 100%, another sign it could be Kev is I’ve a sneaky feeling this could be his last season before he goes off for one last pay day. I’d be gutted but we couldn’t deny him that, I suspect he’ll be next Summers high profiled link to Saudi.
