Some fucking short memories on here regarding Laporte, some disgraceful takes imo.

Remember the season before last when the guy played the run-in on basically one leg because we were fucked defensively? Delayed surgery, had a HUGE part in us winning the league and ended up ultimately costing him last season imo

Played through injury then had to have an operation that cost him his place
Some big performances and the odd important goal
Yes I agree it’s time to lower the age profile but he deserves so much respect

Would we have signed Akanji, had Laporte started the season fully fit.

Not sure if Akanji was brought in to cover for Stones
If we are honest having Ake and Stones is like having one player with their injuries

Utter rubbish posts about Laporte. I don't think he can do the same role as Stones and I don't think he's suited to the newer system we play, but he's an absolutely brilliant passing defender. Superb at passing between the lines and switching play. Just because he may not be suited for what Pep wants doesn't diminish his skill or what he contributed.

Agree with that but he will also believe he's good enough to get back in the squad. We will pick up injuries along the way, just think it depends on the role of Lewis.

We will want a decent amount of money for him and im amazed no one has been in for him yet.

I don't think we would have, had Laporte been fit as he'd have played left centre back. This is obviously before Pep changed the system

Gonna depend on him, he only started 11 prem games and 4 of them were in the last month, played 3 Cl games (the weakest group game and dead rubber)

It depends what Ameyric wants. Thought he wanted to go back home & Spurs were interested but he would prefer sitting on the bench,winning trophies & earning more here, than going to the bottlers.
