It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

But the other side of the argument is not letting players go until we get replacements in mate? It weakens your position when clubs know you have to buy a player for a position?
Swings and roundabouts though isn't it?
Buy first - get stung selling
Sell first - get stung buying

What if we cant sell them in the summer? We will end up having players that are surplus to requirements and won't be playing until January at least.

And how’d that work out in terms of saving our ass? :-) we cannot set out on negativity after the season we’ve had. Impossible. Not one team in Europe let alone prem has a core stronger than ours. I would like for a couple new names to be added but it’s genuinely no doom and gloom situation.
I am not being negative, I am saying I believe we will do in the market what needs to be done. Like last year — without the deadline day signing we don’t win shit. The people who are bending over backwards to claim we don’t need anything are the ones who are actually being negative by preemptively coming up with excuses because they think nothing will happen, and don’t want to be in a position to criticize; they are the ones who don’t have faith in the club.

Perhaps but right now do we need someone that badly? I want Gvardiol but is it a necessity? Same in midfield, for Mahrez which is probably more of a need.

City won’t play games, they will pay what they see fit, if clubs take the piss, City walk away, that won’t change. City are not desperate, certainly not right now.

It’s crazy to think people believed we’d massively just change the squad around because we’ve done a treble. Our core is far too strong right now, it is just a case of having depth and improving if there’s an opportunity. Genuinely baffles me people thought we’d splash on many names without outgoings first.
we can’t stand still and we need to keep evolving mate. If you look at Utd and fergie every season they signed players to keep the squad on there toes and by bringing in fresher hungrier players who haven’t won titles it keeps if going .

Gvardiol is the new system target it seems mate and we defo need a Mahrez replacement. I also worry about our reliance on KDB to supply ammunition for Erling as well?
