think Sam had his "goal"den period before he joined the athletic, his insight on the Mendy, Bernado etc transfers I recall was on the mark. Since he's moved to the Athletic he appears to be down the pecking order on real ITK knowledge.
Doku and Eze will bring flair to the side but neither helps in providing depth for Rodri.
Think Kovacic is underrated in that role. Gundo dragged us in one of the recent run-ins (18/19 I think) in place of Fernandinho.
Technical ability and being brave gets you a long way in the 6 position. Plus Pep will make sure anybody who isn’t Rodri is protected when they play there.
