It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Ederson/Ortega/Carson

Akanji/Walker/Dias/Ake/Gvardiol

Stones/Lewis

Rodri/Phillips

Kovacic/KDB/Bernado/Eze

Foden/Doku/Grealish/Bobb

Haaland/Alvarez

Still have THB, Gomez, Palmer, McAtee and Doyle as potential squad players/loaned or sold.

Personally would keep 1 of Gomez/Palmer, McAtee and potentially THB.
Don’t particularly want either Eze or Nunes but surely both Palace and Wolves might be interested in deals involving THB, Doyle etc to bring the excessive asking prices down?

Kovacic, Nunes and Eze / Foden would be a very progressive midfield, them and Doku the 'take on' stats be golden.

Would be able to give Rodri some much needed rest.

Someone said it in one of the other threads, but it's bit De Zerbi like. Brighton win the ball and use very good ball progression players in their midfield and on the wings attack quickly fast transition. Mitoma and march very good at playing wide or taking on their man.

Peps a massive fan of De Zerbi he's said it in interviews.

Kovacic, Gvardiol, Nunes and Eze are exceptionally good at ball progression. Nunes against United last week was exceptional at breaking a press and progressing with the ball. Foden did it brilliantly against Newcastle so did Kovacic.

Eze is known for incredible skill and progressing the ball quickly at pace for Palace. Everyone linked is exceptional at that skill set. Doku another one that's incredible at progressing the ball quickly taking on a player and beating them.

Feels like Peps evolving the side again to a more dangerous attack on the transition when we win the ball. With the most lethal striker in the world playing up front. The attacks against Newcastle when we sat back and won the ball were fast with an aim to get Haaland in behind.

The only DM replacement that will be real upgrade and not just another body in the squad is FDJ or Kimmich. Neither of these player have any inclination to move and their clubs is not looking to sell them either.
There’s no upgrade on Rodri, including the two you mention
Someone to rotate and rest him is precisely what’s needed if Phillips isn’t considered good enough by the manager

I'm more on the Eze train than the Nunes train I think. Gundagon and Mahrez leaving means we've taken out a chunk of goals from the team, compounded with the injury to KDB. Eze provides that more than Nunes.

Both quality players so would be happy with either, but Eze is my preference of the two.
