It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I'm more on the Eze train than the Nunes train I think. Gundagon and Mahrez leaving means we've taken out a chunk of goals from the team, compounded with the injury to KDB. Eze provides that more than Nunes.

Both quality players so would be happy with either, but Eze is my preference of the two.
I agree, Eze would bring more around the penalty box which is what we need without Gundo, Mahrez, KDB... Kova/Stones can cover Rodri in easier games

the problem is eze and nunez are both not quality enough to fill the holes they need to fill. We could potentially end up with multiple kalvin phillips situations here if in a years time the people we really want become available.

We've all witnessed what Pep has done with Manuel Akanji. Why doubt his targets when it's Eze and Nunes? Both wouldn't be my first choice (and I've turned my nose up at them over the last 12 hours), but I believe at better clubs, and with the opportunity to play with World Class players they'd flourish!

because i dont think they were peps targets lol.. peps targets were bellingham, barella, wirtz... txikik says its not happening and brings these to the table. Eze looks the most impressive out of what we are being told though.

Because Akanji was bought for 15m. Even if he didn't work, it was not a big deal. For 80-90m, you expect a starter at the very least. I don't think Eze or Nunez are better than Kovacic, Bernardo, Foden, KDB or Rodri. There are better midfielders out there, and plenty around their level that would cost much less.

The problem is, we are too late in the transfer market, with KDB's injury and lack of depth, so there is an urgent need of bringing someone. A position you never want to be in.

Pep trust > Talent when it comes to those in the squad. cant carry passengers anymore bar developing rookies. the 'senior' lads have to be good enough to get time.
