Liverpool in fairness are a bit like city. Trying to find value in the market. Happy to spend £50/60m but don’t want to go any higher.
Liverpool usually distort the market see Van dyk and Allisson deals but even they are baulking at the prices quoted.

Towards the end of the season, I felt perhaps City have a higher chance of winning the CL with a better defensive manager than Pep. Move forward 3 seasons, Pep has turned the squad into one of the best defensive sides.
