It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Frimpong would be my choice. Couto isn’t tall or particularly quick. He’s similar to Porro at Spurs.
an improvement on Couto given the choice for me, but still the same issues. better going one way than the other when 1-on-1 defending is paramount in this system. Bet we see someone floated who is a CB/RB over a RWB/RB.

correct position, completely wrong profile without a system change from Pep. Probably got a good shout at making himself noticed at RW if he goes on pre-season though.

Still antonished me that some people didn't know the difference between wing back and full back thinking these two are one and same.

So Couto, already on contract with us, should be ruled out since he is a wing-back who is far better attacking than defending and you suggest we buy Frimpong instead, a wing-back who is far better attacking than defending? What am I missing here?

If we've got the best RB in La Liga on our (CFG) books, then why would we sell him? Makes sense if he's that good to bring him in?
As others have already said, he doesn`t really suit our current style. Quite poor defensively, and his physicality is a bit of an issue as well at 5'6". In terms of pace he`s also far off Walker's level. He is however very very good on the ball, a great dribbler and in the 99th percentile of progressive carries. Clearly a highly intelligent player with surprisingly good decision-making. In some aspects he reminds me a lot of Rico, but is more of a natural full-back. Should do well in any side that plays with attacking full-backs. Real Madrid are apparently interested, I`d guess a handful of teams in the top 5 leagues will be too. Called up for Brazils senior team recently as well.

You`ve got a point, but Frimpong, unlike Couto, has got that Walker recovery pace which is key in a high-line defense. He`s also levels above Couto in terms of attacking, already got 22 G&A so far this season. They`re both quite poor defensively, but Frimpong is also superior in terms of physicality. I`d say Couto is better on the ball and slightly more suited for posession-based football. Neither are perfect candidates for us, not sure there are any young available RBs in the world at the moment that is

Maybe as we usually play 3 centre backs and a full back we won't buy a right back. We could just as easily play 3 centre backs and a left back. Don't know which left back though to be fair.
