Outs:
Laporte - very difficult to see where he goes. It’s almost certain he goes given his minutes, or lack there of, but the potential suitors are so limited. PSG and Atletico (on loan) maybe his only options? Italian clubs will never pay 40m for him. Barca just signed Inigo Martinez so that almost certainly closes the door on a loan there.
Gundogan/Bernardo - Looks almost certain they’re both gone but hopefully one atleast stays. Bernardo’s options will probably be PSG only who will front up the money - also doesn’t make sense considering he wants to move closer to home. Gundo seemingly hasn’t decided but looks certainly a free transfer to Barca - and the free transfer of the year.
Cancelo - stinks of another loan with no one paying anything near the 50-60m value City will want. Cut your losses and move on.
In:
CB - Replacing Laporte, Gvardiol doesn’t seem likely to move based on his recent comments that Leipzig will not sell, even if their value is met. Plausible as clubs aren’t in a need to sell and know he‘ll go for similar or more next year. Hard to see City paying the money for him and Bellingham in the summer.
CM:
Keep one of the two already here and add Bellingham would be the dream. Lavia probably not coming back unless Phillips leaves - and Pep ain’t losing 3 midfielders of his 5 in one window. Bellingham incoming probably would see a cheaper CM come in. Laiva being almost solely a DM, he ain’t playing in the 8 or 6/8 that Bernardo was plays. The lad at Celta or Kovacic would make sense if Bellingham joined.
Winger:
Can’t see it. Mitoma ideally but Brighton going to want close to 70-80m. Fati is seemingly on the market for 50m this summer
No chance City pay 130 for Bellingham, 100 for Gvardiol, Mitoma at 70-80m and then possibly another midfielder.
350m outlay if so. Here’s hoping.
