Tolmie doesn't always know everything.

It could be the club does have planned targets, but in the eventuality they thought somebody like Bernie, or Kev, or Alvarez was leaving.

Savio is already coming in.

Somebody has to go for another to come.

If it's another defensive ot box to box midfielder, I suspect one of Nunes or Kovacic are going, but I think they both stay.

The Yorkshire Pirlo will need to be replaced if he leaves.

we need a bigger squad with more games next season....

We need to replace Phillips, Gomez who both played virtually no part in our season with players who can be relied on....you can also add Cancello to that list ......thats 3 places that need to be taken up with players who can contribute.

Phillips will at least go out on loan, Gomez loan or sale...Cancello - most likely loan but there is now way he is being allowed to hang around the playing squad....

thats at least 3 players plus Savio

And you have to think we need cover for and Rodri (the phillips replacement).... so 2 reasons to bring someone else in.

If the rumours are to be believed, Nunes has an offer from Saudi.....he would be stupid to refuse it as it doesnt look like he is going to make it here. KDB is being rumoured to being offered generational wealth type money....you couldnt blame him if he took it and there are injury and age concerns around him as well.

The squad needs a refersh (and we havent even mentioned Walker yet) - Pep, Txixi et all would have to be stupod to stay with what we have - and they aint stupid..

All this panick is from one tweet by some journo (who probably is hedging his bets and also probably has an agenda like most of the red top journos)

Pep has never had a 25 man squad (the max) in his entire time here.

Last season we had a 22 man squad with Gomez getting virtually no minutes, Bobb and Nunes getting minimal minutes, and Lewis getting some minutes.

Im already assuming no loaneed are coming back.

Gomez gets replaced by Savio, who has to get more minutes than what Gomez got.

Bobb, Lewis and Nunes needs more minutes.

Thats who gets more game time next year.

And like I said, if somebody like Nunes leaves, then yes, get another.

But Im under the assumptiom, IF nobody leaves, then surelt Savio is all we can fit.
