It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I think he has a point, we've lost Laporte, Cancelo, Mahrez, Gundagon and Palmer. None of the replacements are of a similar quality, apart from Doku, if he fixes his 'final ball' issues.
Cancelo leaving = upgrade (addition by subtraction)
Laporte => Gvardiol = upgrade
Mahrez => Foden (who was not starting regularly in 2022/23) = same at worst
Gundogan => Kovacic = downgrade, but not substantially
Palmer => Bobb = short term downgrade, but Palmer wouldnt have been a regular starter

You also have Lewis developing which can further offset loss of Gundo

Net/net, not worse off

Development of Anakji being a swiss army knife (pun intended) doesnt happen if Cancelo isnt fucked off as well I reckon

Its not been perfect but its not been as shite as some shout everyday. Only Phillips is a bust, and Nunes/Gomez probably still in the questionable bracket.

Why buy Nunes when we have Bob, surely that’s £50mill towards a marque signing
