It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Another portugese winger anyone?

Bernardo Silva has also taken a liking to Quenda, adding: "I don't like to highlight players, but we realise the quality and talent of Quenda. He plays in a role that I can occupy on the pitch. He will probably steal my place! I didn't even play in Benfica's youth teams at his age. Seeing him at 17, representing Sporting and the national team, is because he deserves it and has the standards to be here."

If (and still a big if currently) Rodri is seriously injured then we need to go into the market in January
Still don't think we'd A. Overpay for someone or B. Get in someone who wasn't already a long term target

Given the winter window is notoriously bad full of expensive stop gaps, I still think we could decide against getting a DM

This, most likely. a long term target will be project which is no better than the lads we have now to cover the position. we've two player capable/doing the role already. The love-in over how Kova started and Gundo coming back died quickly at a sign of trouble.

Kovacic and Gundo can't play every game and Gundo definitely doesn't have the legs to play DM alone, so it's either just Kovacic or Kovacic and Gundo. But I would say we need another midfielder with that defensive edge to his game. Maybe a loan
