It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Like i said keep dreaming, most club will not let go the better player like those three in january.

There's no football club in history that can rebuild their club in middle of season buying several player at once and win anything meaningful in the end. Point that club if i'm wrong.
That's just not true. We could definitely win the FA cup with at least one midfield addition

Keep dreaming, January is the most difficult window to get any good player in Rodri caliber level.

Most of club will be reclutant to let go their star player in middle of season, doesn't matter jack shit how much money is offered by us.

Raid Spain. Release clauses everywhere. Zubimendi for one, clubs have no choice with release clauses

Absolute shit show of a summer now haunting us.

Let's sign a 34 year old Ilkay Gundogan lol
Still think last summers was even worse. At least we "only" lost one first team player this summer, lost several last summer. Only thing in common is that we either didnt replace them at all or bought mediocre players from mediocre teams expecting them to be world beaters after training under Pep 2 weeks and putting on a sky blue shirt.
Its just that our treble winning squad was on such a high level that even one disaster window couldn't stop us from winning the league again, but 2 disaster summers in a row with key players being even older means that reality is catching up.

Most annoying thing for me is that it's not like our signings in the past 2 summers have been complete failures, most of them have performed as one could expect based on their performances before they joined us. It's that we signed these players in the first place. Why did City think Nunes was a City level player when he looked bang average in a poor Wolves? Why did City think a winger that scored 6 goals in the French league could replace a top player like Mahrez? Why did City think a player that couldn't get regular minutes at mid table Chelsea would be a good replacement for prime Gundogan? Why did City think a young winger with one decent season in Girona could replace serial winner Alvarez? Why did City think Gundogan was as good as ever when a team worse than ours was willing to release him from his contract without wanting anything in return? It's just lazy and poor recruitment, very uncharacteristic from how brilliant we have done things the last decade.
If we keep bringing in bang average players to replace elite ones, sooner or later the team will become bang average.

A major overhaul with some tough decisions need to be made. Hopefully Viana is up for the challenge.

said it earlier but Gundo himself said he was getting ready for the season with Barca when all of a sudden they told him he is not needed, originally looked like a nasty financial decision to get rid of him so others can be registered within their salary limits but seeing Barca new style all out attack, high pressing, lots of running from Flick well this old Gundo would have looked horrible in that.
but imagine this doesnt happen then this opportunity to bring him back doesnt present itself and then imo Txiki doesnt get anyone else either.

Paying the price for a small squad. Suddenly too many players are now out of form on top of an injury crisis. So it can’t get any worse. It’s the cost of two three windows now where the business hasn’t really elevated our level in all honesty. We’ve always had a fair balance because of a really strong core. Now the core players have been injured and some are out of form. The squad doesn’t have the same quality it used to in terms of depth.

In hindsight this could be a good wake up call to address the rebuild very seriously. Or we could easily fall behind the curve.

That is down to Pep liking having a small squad and having a bigger selection tends to having players who aren't regularly playing major strops (although we have had a taster of that with a smaller depth as well)
