I think it's safe to say we need absolutely minimum 3 strong signings in January if we have any ambition to achieve something this season. One DM wont turn a team that gets embarrassed every week into a winning team.Fabrizio confirmed we are in the market for DM in january. contacts are started, names being discussed, top targets will be revealed soon.

The most important thing is if a player is good enough or not. If not, they shouldn't be around the team because no one is stupid enough to buy them.The other problem is who will buy them or will they want to leave. It's about time the club get back to making player decisions on sporting merit rather than whats optimal financially or gives a good net spend. When everything is going well we might have the luxury of waiting for the best financial solution to arrive for a player that contributes little to nothing, but when the team are embarrassing themselves twice a week we should take whatever offer we can get to "make room" for others. If we cant get ANY offers, offer them out for free including paying their salary. If that doesnt work, pay clubs to take them from our training ground. A bit of an exaggeration, but my point is that we can of course get rid of players. It's just a matter of how much of a financial hit the club is willing to take and how desperate we are to get other reinforcements. Considering the teams current state I would say we are about as desperate as one could be.

We need goals an attacker that can provide goals. Without Haalands 12 goals kovacic would be our best attacking player right now with 3. All our wingers combined have 1 goal in the prem
Another striker is the least of our priorities. We had the likes of Jesus and Alavrez (who did show flashes) but not enough to move Haaland out of the team or not quite good enough to really nail down a place. It is near enough impossible to find a player who is content in being cover. Veterans who are winding down their careers could fit the bill but again would they want lesser wagers or a role. Same with up and coming strikers as well.

But almost every other club has a backup for a striker. I don't see why Watkins and Isak can have backups but Haaland can't? They don't have to be world class or stay for years, we could have gone to South America and got a young striker for 2 years like we did Alvarez. Give them the league cup, FA cup, easier UCL matches, can sub on when we need a goal, or to rest Haaland when he is not fully fit.
