I remember talksport calling this Peps next evolution when we signed Kova, Nunes, Doku last year. He’s moved away from technical and more towards players who drive with the ball.I'd like us to for more technical players in midfield again, our midfield recruitment has gone to more runners than technical players. I'd love a David Silva type to come into that midfield
The issue we have is there is no space to drive into with a low block and they lack that cutting edge pass in gaps nobody else sees.
With our style of play we definitely need technical flair back in that midfield.

We need BIG powerful - we are so poor as a team in the air in particular. This lad also has tekkers so it's a massive yes from me . . .He is huge, but so elegant and composed on the ball. Obviously still very young, but I can see why people say that he has the Van Dijk skillset.
