We did it because of this on going court case which is definitely having more of an impact that we wanted or thought . The title is nothing compared to what’s gonna happen when the verduct is known.Not sure why you included Akanji or Kovacic in that. But ignoring that why do you think we avoided paying big money for who we really wanted last summer. I don’t know myself ,though I have a few ideas.

Think that’s maybe a part of it, but I’d throw in uncertainty over Pep, maybe even knowing Txiki was leaving and maybe wanting if Pep had left the new manager and new DOF to work on any rebuild, then maybe thinking players like KDB ,Walker maybe Bernardo Ederson moving on next summer we decided to save our budget for those replacements.We did it because of this on going court case which is definitely having more of an impact that we wanted or thought . Think this is a good summary. It’s lots of little things amounting to the current situation. Bad judgement allied to misfortune as well as some intangibles. Clearly January will be enlightening to how the case has gone - if we go hard and assert ourselves in the market then clearly it’s gone well. I think we knew this season would be tricky and tried to squeeze one more year out of the squad and without Rodri’s season long injury maybe the gamble would have paid off.
No so he will fit in well ;)He certainly has the pace we need at RB, but can he defend well enough?
