Not really, if we buy a reliable centre back alongside Dias and Gvardiol, then Stones and Ake are both good enough to be good options, and if not playing twice a week or even every week then they will be fine. There are maybe 5 players we are quite likely to lose or let go. We won’t want much more turnover than that if we can help it.One of Stones or Ake will have to be sacrificed simply because of lack of availability. Two top players but tough calls got to be made.
Similar to Kovacic though, he's been a pretty solid squad signing? Miles better midfield option to have than Nunes
The best defences are those that don't rotate and build a strong link. Chopping and changing to facilitate players who can't play every week is no good. We need quality defenders who don't get injured. They can be rested in meaningless games, but not rotated in anything elseNot really, if we buy a reliable centre back alongside Dias and Gvardiol, then Stones and Ake are both good enough to be good options, and if not playing twice a week or even every week then they will be fine. Here is my take on the current situation.
Last summer we should have refreshed an ageing squad, we have got away with having a small squad for four years, which, with no injuries is fine, this is now catching up with the squad. We have never found a decent back up for Rodri and letting Alvarez go without a replacement was criminal by the management.
Add to that, all the injuries we have had this year has severely hampered the squad as we cannot rotate/rest the ageing players who are absolutely shattered.
For me, we need at least 3 signings in January just to give Haaland, Gundo, Silva a well earned rest, they are dead on there feet.
Dias should be made captain for the rest of the season as Walker is NOT a captain.
In the summer, breaks my heart to say this, but, KDB, WALKER, EDERSON, GUNDO, SILVA , SAVHINO, NUNEZ, MCATEE all need to be moved on, the first 5 have all past there best days unfortunately and the squad needs a rebuild.
The players that are fit are physically exhausted because of poor management decisions last summer and the reliance of Rodri and a small squad.
Savinho, wow. How on earth can anyone come to that conclusionHere is my take on the current situation.

We rotated a fair bit ofer the last few years. Besides we wouldn't need to if we didn’t want to.Ake and Stones would make great squad players. All I’m saying is we will try to keep the changes in the summer down to 4 or 5 maximum. Stones and Ake don’t need to be added to that. For what it’s worth I don’t think Grealish and Nunes will go either. The best defences are those that don't rotate and build a strong link. To be fair it isn’t our choice if the players choose to stay.We aren’t wasting the guts of 600k pw to have 2 lads job share.
That’s effectively what they are these days, as much as I love both.
