It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Thanks for sharing. That is reassuring to hear, although it was pretty disappointing to see us already ruling out Guimaraes and Zubimendi. Hope they can pull a surprise or two out of the bag, because it feels like everyone needs a lift right now.
It’s indeed reassuring. Our cost for the immense success we’ve had is obviously that we’ve become complacent in the recruitment area and that instead of getting the likes of Rice / Bellingham, we’ve ended up with Phillips/Nunes.

I hope we’ve learnt this lesson for once and for all and that no matter the success, there has to be high quality additions in all areas over time to keep the competition and to avoid the team growing old like now and that a small squad becomes injury-ridden. It’s clearly a recipe for disaster.

@twosips - do you know who is to ”blame” for the last years’ bad recruitment? Txixi, Pep or that we’re hampered by the allegations?

No idea mate, but i think the sensible thing to do when discussing people that generally competent is to presume it's a collective responsibility. They'll all have been involved in some way.

The court case result isnt until February. So I think its really naive to think a player with multiple options would sign for City in January when a month later everything could change.

I also think thats why your last window was so 'internal'. Bringing back Gundogan and signing Savio from the network of clubs.

Not tolling, just poinitng out what I see is a pretty obvious pattern.

Arrogance from Pep and Txiki imo mate.

Whilst we're pointing out 'pretty obvious patterns', it's amazing to see an Arsenal fan register on this forum as our form has slumped. Not least one who can’t wait to stick the boot in on our transfer business. So I'll stick the boot in on you:

Your manager is an overrated show-pony. He's spent £800m and won nothing for more than four years. Your best fan is Lee Gunner, who calls out your fan base.

If City start winning again, I absolutely promise you that you won't be here. So do everyone a favour and kindly fuck off.
