It’s indeed reassuring. Our cost for the immense success we’ve had is obviously that we’ve become complacent in the recruitment area and that instead of getting the likes of Rice / Bellingham, we’ve ended up with Phillips/Nunes.Thanks for sharing. That is reassuring to hear, although it was pretty disappointing to see us already ruling out Guimaraes and Zubimendi. Hope they can pull a surprise or two out of the bag, because it feels like everyone needs a lift right now.
I hope we’ve learnt this lesson for once and for all and that no matter the success, there has to be high quality additions in all areas over time to keep the competition and to avoid the team growing old like now and that a small squad becomes injury-ridden. It’s clearly a recipe for disaster.
@twosips - do you know who is to ”blame” for the last years’ bad recruitment? Txixi, Pep or that we’re hampered by the allegations?
