It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

The charges obviously has some impact on our ability to attract top players this January, one only needs common sense to realise that. However, end of contract players being linked has probably more to do with these being easy transfers to make more than anything else. With that said, we have not yet seen one single January rumor from a credible source so wouldn't take much notice or be concerned about what "sources" with little to no credibility "reports" since its more likely than not have nothing to do with reality.
Would rather say that the absence of any credible rumor at all with 3 days to January is more of a concern in regards of us improving our squad this window.

Or we work quietly and professionally? Omar Berrada was the leak it seems and I’m sure the club prefer to work in the shadows. No way the club don’t think we need players and it’s the first time I’ve heard Pep admit it as well

I agree, the club usually work quietly and professionally. The credible sources out there still usually writes about any incoming signing several days before they are presented on the official website. Since we haven't heard a single credible rumor so far I would make the assumption that until we do, no deal is really close of being done (excluding Echeverri). And in my opinion, us going into January with no deal close to being done despite having months to work behind the scenes is a concern. That doesn't mean I dont think any new players will arrive. I'm just sceptical if any of them will be any real improvement and not just panic buys because we have to sign somebody.

Omar Berrada was the leak
I love the fact that Judas Berrada stated that he was personally responsible for signing Ruben Imarag and leaked that Dan Laptop wanted Southgate, and that Judas chased the signing of Lenny Yolo, yet Joshua Fatman was an "Ineos" signing.

It is worrying, though, that we are already hearing things like "too expensive", "difficult to sign in January". These statements are simply not accurate since many players have release clauses or have contracts ending in the summer. These sound to me like excuses already to justify why we won't be signing anyone. If you think about it, Gvardiol and Haaland aside, when is the last time we signed some truly world-class talent and not a project player? Sure, we have signed some great players for squad-depth, but we are at a stage when squad-players simply won't cut it anymore, and it's only our fault that we need to do this business right now. Who made the call that Savinho and Gundogan are enough in the summer? That was truly shocking decision making. All that in light of record breaking profits for a couple of years now. Unacceptable. If you are not moving forward, you're moving backwards. I said at the end of the 2022/23 season, that Liverpool are going to be our main threat in the 23/24. They weren't, but I wasn't far off, because they are miles ahead of us now, and I said it in light of them signing some really good player at that time. I wanted them here and they were available at reasonable prices. They weren't the only ones too, there were so many players that we could have targeted. We have ourselves to blame for this mess.

Harsh on Savinho imo mate, has shown more than enough early doors in a big step up league that for £24m ish that there’s a talent there no doubt. This forum was wanking itself silly over Gundo coming back as well?
