There's no scenario where the club can just accept that. Ignoring any other problems it brings, It's going to cost us around £100m not being in the champions league. It's not going to end us but it's going to make a significant impact. The number 1 priority for everybody at the club will be to avoid that at all costs. No reinforcements this window and we are rolling the dice on that being a reality.
So even if we have to pay ten, twenty million over the odds for our targets this month, it's still a complete no-brainer that saves us money and doesn't mess with or limit future plans.
