It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I have just watched ESpN podcast.
Some journalistic expert called Ogden.
No chance of any signings for City. None of the intended signings would be interested now we are not at the top table.
Also selling our academy products ( for £ 400 +million) is terrible. As an example Man utd would never do that.
Basically we are doomed.
We may have a chance of signing someone then.

When do we jump into the transfer market
it's to late now because the weekend game is now being sorted in training, Then the FA cup tie at home to Salford City and we should have enough to cover that tie at home anyway, We could be looking for loans and we all know they happen at the end of the window in the last hours.

We were so desperate for the transfer window to open 2 weeks ago and hoped City had 3 or 4 lined up ready to go
But it's all gone quiet and even the ITK's are not leaking anything.

I see another youngster is being lined up for 14m, I mean what’s the point, in this present situation , to buy him and sell to make a few quid down the line, are we a football club or a fucking shop

We need 3/4 new faces in to salvage this season, not looking to the future at the moment surely to fuck
Bah is for the first team, not a CFG signing. Has done very well in La Liga at only 18 and multiple other big clubs are interested. Most 6’5" CBs are way more awkward on the ball, far less mobile/agile and much slower. He’s one of those players that would usually sign for Brighton for 14m and then sold for 60m+ a year later, and people moan at our recruitment team for not signing him earlier for 14m

We’re past the point of signings that can do a job for us. We need proper quality to get back to the levels we’re usually at.
You’re not going to get that quality in this window. Signing the loan of a decent enough player who will improve us for 6 months without tying up summer transfer funds is a smart move.

Last thing we need is a panic buy of 2nd tier players because top tier aren’t available.

Ok will keep an eye on this then, then we can revisit it in the future.
