It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Wouldnt the club know by now what each of those two want....they are usually very good at knowing early what our players want (you did say a week or so ago that Gundo had probably done a 180 and was now looking like staying.

Bernardo leaving is a huge issue though.....you cant replace him with a like for like as not many (if any exist) - Bellingham i saw more as a gundo replacement if anything - and Kovacic certainly doesnt replace Bernardo either....

I would normally say yes, but with possibly a career defining Champions League medal on the line, some players may want it to inform their final decision.

Nobody replaces Bernie in my eyes, a complete one-off.

agree on Bernardo - its a huge gap to fill and Im not sure how we do that as none of the names mentioned come even close to me

Call me crazy..

but Julian can press like Bernardo,
Grealish can dribble like Bernardo,
and Foden can link up like Bernardo.

We might have to use 3 players to fill one hole but I really don't see who replaces Gundo with his sneaking in the back corners when he's not busy dictating the midfield merry go around with 20 thousand million passes!

Yup...i would keep Gundogan (and Bernardo) and still sign a "replacement". IF we win the CL don't we have the club world cup to deal with next season? The season after, the CL will be expanded which means increased amount of games. I know Pep likes to work with a "small" squad. But i think this summer might be the perfect time to increase the size of the squad.
Bernardo 100% another season

Gundo has been outstanding for City but if we pull off the Champions League then I wouldn't begrudge him leaving

We can rebuild with a top signing or even play Phil inside & then sign Maddison it's not a problem imo

Berny just gives us the extra positions & miles in the bag, now he would be missed
Kev gives us another top year next & then look to filter him in & out

Mount, MacAllister, Rice i would leave alone

If we get shut of Phillips then just use Rico or the kid Parrone as back up

Rice & Rodri ain't working in this team under Pep, both want 30+ games & not 60 mins each week unless we move Rodders up?
Alvarez looks better supporting Haaland rather than out & out striker so he would play when Kev doesn't

Next year its Mahrez, Berny, Kev, possibly Walker & Ortega, can't see him doing 3 years as No 2 so Trafford will get a chance as No 2

Kev aint going anywhere next summer, that's a fact.

Not saying he will leave but he will have less minutes imo

The level this guy has played at over the last 5 years has been the best I've seen from any midfielder but it's hurting & you can tell

Alvarez needs more minutes or we lose him, teams will circle like vultures in the next 12 months knowing his fee will be much less than what I believe he could be worth in the next couple of years

Players as good as KDB don’t stop playing they just change their roles

Do we need a Guerreiro type player? I don't think we need, Rico Lewis can play that role. If we want a different type of player than Ake who make us better defendly, that it would make more sense to sign someone who is good at overlapping.

i enjoy the word defendly,thank you :)
