I advise you go read the Grealish thread, full of posters who questioned it. Just because it has turned out well doesn't mean a whole lot. Grealish could have just as easily not kicked on in this second season and we would look like complete fools for spending that much.

Rice could be in the same boat as Phillips next year.

All I know is Kalvin wants to stay but Moyes has asked to sign him, having tried to before we got him.

Could see a possible £50m plus Phillips or another player.

I would love him, but we all have a personal view of players.

That would mean giving up close to 100m, if going by the figures reported. If he does, fair play to him. If he doesn't, who could argue it.

He may go now. As, I said, I think it is very probably a case of when not if. Whenever he does go, he'll earn enough to have a very confortable retirement.

Rice is known to publicly admire City players - Silva, Yaya, Aguero, Fernandinho, De Bruyne - so I wonder if he’d want to follow in their footsteps.

I’ll never forget that video of inside his house playing pool, he has about 5/6 City shirts framed on the wall. Amongst other clubs admittedly but there did seem to be more blue ones.

What position is Rice in midfield? I know youtube vids is shit to go off but, he's not just playing CDM in most these highlights hes popping up on the left and right of midfield. Also alot more goals than I thought he'd scored. Leads most of the West ham attacks as well.

What is he?

He could play 6 or 8; as could Rodri. Rodri and Rice would make a really good pairing; as well as giving the opportunity for both to have rest games.

I have not been convinced by Rice thus far but if he comes to us Pep will do his thing and hey presto, a season from now we will have a wonderfully versatile powerhouse of a player. Pepe makes good players great, excellent players world class and world class player erm, Messi.

Pep is a big fan of the player but does seem strange we have left it this late, unless we were waiting for the Bellingham deal to be announced.
