It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Simons flatters to deceive. I would rather give our EDS lads a real chance if he is an actual target.
Why’s that? He would be a really shrewd buy based on what I’ve seen. Excellent profile for Pep to nurture.

Obviously Wirtz is ahead of the rest because he’s already quite complete to the rest, even Musiala is ahead. Doesn’t meant these targets are not worthy. And let’s be serious, we had James McAtee for this whole season and despite the injury crisis he’s only gotten dead rubber games. So what makes you think someone else will get a chance through EDS.

Viana will be involved from summer onwards right? Txiki will just help him with the transition from Jan but be the guy in charge of transfers or outgoings till summer. Unless I’m wrong? So maybe he can do us a last good favor before he goes away.

I’m still not keeping my hopes up for January. The best news for us is Pep extending. It’ll smooth things out for this rebuild.

Viana probably wont get a full crack at his own window till 2026, he'll more than likely be given/know the list of targets that are in motion if not already done in the 2025 summer I expect. Target list, Groundwork etc will all be in play when he starts

Not having a greatest of seasons at RB Leipzig to be honest and no down to the club he is currently at. Could mention Joao Felix too.

Nothing changes with Pep staying. We'll get the squad refresh in the summer and we can really take our time with Viana rather than signing any short to term medium term fixes in January. Wirtz and Musiala would have been brilliant, however I am looking forward to who we have lined up as alternative options.
I wouldn’t write City off with those two just yet.

Yesterdays news will only help, you bet world class footballers heads were/are turning

People wrote us all with Haaland and Gvardiol alongside countless others

Ederson
Dias
Akanji
Ake
Gvardiol
Stones
Rodri
Foden
Savinho
Doku
Grealish
Haaland
Bernardo
Rico
Bobb
Kovacic

That's a list of players who can be part of the 25/26-26/27 seasons under Pep.

We are looking at a couple of young potential stars and a couple of proven players away from being a team that is capable of dominating domestically and in Europe.

Walker, Gundo and KDB the ones likely to leave during that period and others will be reaching the end during it.

But it's not a crisis or a monumental job to do.

Injuries could have derailed us before but didn't, they might still not this campaign.

He’s not injured so you can guess why he would be allowed to leave. He’s been rubbish since joining.
It might just be that he's struggling to settle?

We know that he can perform in the PL though, as he was one of Villa's best and most consistent players.

He'd be one of the players on my list.

Obviously, Guardiola had to sign the extension because he can’t let the club down. He surely knows how critical it will be for the club's future success to do a proper rebuild.

I agree.

Obviously BM have the upper hand with Musiala already being there, but Wirtz won't be cheap to buy, plus he'll want big money, so that might rule them out.

As for RM, they're always going to be in with a shout, but they seem to have a lot of good players already who aren't playing and so i would've thought they'd have to get rid of a few first.

With Kev's age and injuries a big factor now, i'd go all out for Wirtz.

I think we'd be able to offer him more than enough playing time in both the PL and CL to satisfy him, so i'd outbid whoever and pay top money to get him.
He'd be a statement signing imo.
