A 1+1 deal for Pep hopefully means we’ll finally do a squad revamp next summer, which is already overdue.
Probably the last season of Walker, Gundo and Bernardo, and possibly Kev. Hope Kovacic stays one more year. Gonna need at least 1 RB, 2 midfielders and a backup striker within the end of next summers transfer window

In addition to this I think a centre half will be needed. Stones’ injuries will get even worse as he gets older plus Ake and Akankji have their issues. Not sure we can accommodate these issues in a small squad. Again, like with Palmer before him, could THB have been given more of a chance? Looking forward to some fresh ideas from Viana in how we do things.

The issue is, is that striker would have to be happy being a bench player for the big games. Unless we’re changing formation Haaland always starts.
Yeah, but we need to be careful we don't get into another Rodri situation, where we flog the lad and hope he stays fit and in form.

I think it would be benefit everyone if we could add someone to rotate or spot Erling minutes, but obviously it's finding that someone.

I’d consider promoting Callum Doyle. This is his third season in the championship and he just recently turned 21, reminds me a lot of Laporte.

Dias/Stones/Akanji/Doyle as CBs, Gvardiol/Ake as LBs that also can play centrally

I do not know much about this but "ITKs" claim we are after Gyokeres, possibly in Jan if not summer, maybe we going 3-5-2 next season.

Forgot about him - meant to be very good on the ball. I agree - think there is scope to bed players like this in and maybe be a bit braver or flexible and give them time in CL games, home PL games alongside early domestic cups.

Nothing changes with Pep staying. We'll get the squad refresh in the summer and we can really take our time with Viana rather than signing any short to term medium term fixes in January. Wirtz and Musiala would have been brilliant, however I am looking forward to who we have lined up as alternative options.

Yeah, really can't see us signing anyone in Jan unless our poor form continues or we have another couple of long term injuries. Echeverri is coming in and Bobb should be back in Jan, so all is not bad

Keep an eye on Xavi Simons, we’ve been linked before and looking at sporting accounts Viana likes him.

Rumours that Douglas Luiz might be allowed to leave Juve.

Wonder if we could do a loan with an option to buy in January? We could do worse.
He’s not injured so you can guess why he would be allowed to leave. He’s been rubbish since joining.
