I wouldn’t be even entertaining this idea of Fern ‘filling in’ there. We’re Manchester fucking City, we shouldn’t be fucking about with square pegs in round holes.

McGuire is excellent at the ‘meat and potatoes’ elements of CB but isn’t a Guardiola CB as he can’t ‘play’ and doesn’t have the required intelligence.

Pep used Mascherano as CB at Barca so the stories have emerged of him using Ferny in there too. It wouldn't surprise me to see him there in certain games, likely to be home games against teams less reliant on a set piece.

The point I’m making is we don’t need to do that.

We’be just won the treble, we have the money and we have a transfer ban coming. There’s no way we fuck about with CB in that context.

Sorry for being lazy but have all other leagues finished now as well? I just wonder if we are going to move quick before players go on holiday etc or are happy to do the deal after? With all the investigations would we want to get deals done ASAP?

I think we can sign and register whoever we like, it’s just less likely to happen as teams outside of England won’t be able to register replacements before the 11th of June.

I think the Club can act unofficially any time, but we wouldn't be sure about the deals until the official announcement anyway. For example, Sam Lee says Rodri is "pretty much done". Does it mean we should already celebrate his signing? You know the answer.
