The article I saw said that we were hoping to go for Mbappe next summer, but if Real or Barca (or someone else) is going to make a serious run for him, then Pep wants us to push as hard as possible to get him.

There's a whole thread on this on the main forum.
Bottom line is, FIFA didn't find anything in their investigation OR in the subsequent appeal.
But this is the top court in sport so if they decided we tapped him up then there is nowhere to go.
That said the Argentinian club they are taking FIFA to court, not us.
Lets hope we have made sure they have informed us of any changes to the evidence and lets hope we are represented as an important party at the hearing.
As Gill is high up at FIFA I could expect anything to happen!

CAS would tell FIFA they have to ban us. CAS can't do it directly but no one's ever said no to CAS.

The issue which we'd presumably take them to court over is that how can we be liable if FIFA and the FA gave the green light and told us we were in compliance.

It's a very unlikely scenario, but with @tolmie's hairdoo talking about backhanders and conspiracies to hamstring us, the Garré case is the most obvious place to start.

If FIFA are guilty then they'll be fined. I'm not sure they can pass any punishment down to us retrospectively if they approved the original transfer. More likely FIFA will be forced to update its rules and policies.
