Surely if we were to announce anyone today, some information regarding their medical would have been leaked till now.

Exactly. If we do it the regular way, the entire process takes a whole day - recording the interviews, InsideCity videos, giving the player a tour of the CFA, meeting with Txiki and other top guys at the club, signing the contract, etc. Unless players are already in Manchester, it's difficult to complete everything and announce by evening if you don't start early in the day.You would think. Surely they're not doing all this shenanigans just to unveil the free signing of a 34 year old Brazilian, much as I'm excited by Alves, I'm not expecting him to be a "classic" signing.
